- Lead strategic direction of the Hematology and Oncology Center of Excellence
- Demonstrate oversight in strategic proposal development in conjunction with leaders of other functions.
- Act as consultant to their team members throughout the research and development life cycle and the duration of clinical trials.
- Review the COE business plans for those under their remit to create sustainable business growth and make recommendations to the enterprise.
- A medical degree (MD, DO or equivalent) from an accredited and internationally recognized medical school with subspecialty training in some area of hematology or oncology with at least 5 years of demonstrable experience and expertise in the relevant therapeutic area within the biopharmaceutical industry
- Requires a minimum of ten years of prior relevant experience. Will have a minimum of five years of experience outside of the training period with the biopharmaceutical industry either directly or indirectly. CRO experience is preferred.
- Requires advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability to lead business or functional teams.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.
- Excellent skills in providing consultation and advice on multiple assignments are required, as well as initiative and flexibility.
- Must be able to travel nationally and internationally, apprx 20% of the time. May be same day or overnight.

Description
Job OverviewThe Vice President Medical Strategy and Head of the Hematology/Oncology COE provides strategic medical and scientific leadership, subject matter experience and expertise to IQVIA and to IQVIA's clients in Hematology and Oncology. The overarching remit is to grow IQVIA's market share in hematology and oncology and will develop strategies toward that goal. They will participate in, and lead a team of hematologists and oncologists whose activities include but are not necessarily limited to, early engagement of potential customers, proposal development in response to RFPs, participation in client proposal bid defense meetings, act as a subject matter expert and as a consultant throughout the research and development lifecycle and the duration of clinical trials, and/or as an independent customer solution. They collaborate across the organization to ensure that all of IQVIA's resources are fully leveraged in opportunities. Participation in thought leadership activities is highly encouraged. May have as many as 10 direct reports.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $282, $481, The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
