    This is a hybrid position requiring some days working onsite at our downtown location while working other days remotely.

    Organizational Expectations :


    As a data analyst lead, you will lead development of the Financial Management department's data analytics team by designing and implementing processes to inspect, clean, transform, and model financial and operational data to discover useful information, inform conclusions, and support decision making.

    You will provide strategic thought leadership around the department's goals, particularly pertaining to data collection, analysis, reporting tools, and best practices.

    You will also develop other staff, including peers, and provide training related to data analytics, continuous monitoring, and data visualization.

    General Responsibilities

    :


    Uses exceptional analytical, data visualization, and communication skills to lead the development of the function towards achieving its strategic goals and initiatives.

    Leads the development and refinement of analyses, reports, and dashboards of stakeholder financial data and key department performance and risk indicators.

    Visualizes and reports data findings creatively in a variety of visual formats (i.e., reports, dashboards, etc.).

    High profile high priority financial performance reporting and insights prepared for the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland's executive leadership team.

    Draws conclusions, delivers business insights and tells "stories" with data for both technical and non-technical audiences.
    Performs research and analysis needed to respond to surveys and requests for information from key stakeholders.

    Develops others in performing complex data analysis, data transformation tasks, and data visualization by engaging them in shadowing opportunities and leading by example.

    Identifies best practices and standards in data analysis and visualization and leads their implementation in the department.
    Influences strategy by either managing or facilitating district or System data analytics-related initiatives.
    Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

    Education and Experience

    :

    Bachelor's degree and 7 years of related work experience OR
    Master's degree and 5 years of related work experience

    Ability to perform independent research
    Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
    Data analysis tools (i.e., SQL, SQL Server, Tableau, ACL, PowerBI)

    Physical Demands and General Working Conditions


    Traditional office environment - employees typically sit most of the day, work with a computer and may answer/respond to phone calls.

    Physical movement consists of walking for meetings, breaks, etc. Ability to lift items weighing approximately 20 pounds on a limited basis is required. Employees may be required to travel by car/air.
