    Position Requirements


    Summary:
    This is a full time position that requires the ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast paced environment. The Privileging Specialist will report directly to the Director of Privileging and Expirables and will be responsible for privileging

    physicians and CRNAs within an assigned territory.


    Essential duties and responsibilities:
    To ensure new hires start on time, will be responsible to coordinate with onboarding specialist and hospital/office-based locations
    To ensure existing hires are cross privileged on time, will be responsible to coordinate directly with the provider and hospital/office-based locations
    Completing reappointments timely
    Establish long term positive relationships with Medical Staff Offices
    Communicate and escalate non-compliant providers to site chief(s)
    Send notifications communicating any estimated start date changes to onboarding specialist/site chiefs
    Ensure accurate data of all privileging information is entered into database
    Submitting staff dues and other fees for approval and payment
    Run weekly status report on all providers pending privileges
    Provide privileging reports to upper management, site chiefs, and external departments
    Responsible to attend Regional meetings
    Review daily exception reports to ensure and maintain database quality
    Load and maintain privileging letters into database
    Serve as a resource to internal departments, providers and outside agencies
    Responsible for monthly reporting, administrative duties, and department projects as assigned.
    Other responsibilities as assigned


    Qualification/Requirement:
    Positive and professional attitude
    Ability to work with all levels of associates from entry level to upper level management
    Experience working in an office setting, preferably in the health care industry
    Strong follow up, interpersonal and communication skills
    Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast passed environment
    Must be a self-starter and a team player who enjoys providing the highest level of customer service
    Experience working with databases, and ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets
    Experience with Microsoft Office
    Local & distance travel required

    Education and/or Experience

    High School or equivalent, college degree preferred
