In the Manufacturing Project Specialist (MPS) role for the Wilsonville Operations Team you will be joining a Collins Aerospace facility focused on developing, manufacturing, and servicing cutting edge Vision System technologies for both commercial & military applications. The MPS role is a versatile position that will be focused on facilitation and execution of a list of continuous improvement &/or operational focused initiatives. This position will be a high visibility role expected to work cross-functionally in a matrixed organizational structure. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Facilitating the necessary events/activities to deliver value to our customers to create self-sufficiency
- Plan, lead and execute various projects, utilizing CORE Operating System for the Wilsonville, OR site.
- On-time delivery recovery
- Quality escapes and/or yield improvement activities
- Specific cost/spend pressures including productivity/efficiency
- Transform sites/cells to flow/pitch/takt using standard work (SWCS, % load, SWS)
- Align all portions of operations to work in harmony, to include development of robust SIOP processes.
- Determine/monitor/improve KPI's and implementation processes
- IT Systems (SharePoint, web-based content delivery, etc.)
- Positively affect KPI change
- Lead special projects as needed
- Effective leader in change management and cultural adaptation
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
- 5+ years of experience driving tangible process improvements in a Business Process environment.
- 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams and leaders within a complex and sometimes ambiguous matrix organization.
- 5+ years of experience in Lean Manufacturing practices and Operations/Shop Floor management.
QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:
- Experience with quality & data managements systems
- Experience with MRP/ERP enterprise solutions (ie.: SAP, Oracle)
- Experience with change management through the use of formal methods
- History of positively impacting culture
- CORE, Lean Practitioner, Six Sigma Certified (or equivalent)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.
- The ability to remain focused under pressure to assess and resolve challenges.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
