    Join Our Team as a Travel: Clinical Laboratory Scientist Are you a dedicated and skilled clinical laboratory scientist seeking a dynamic opportunity to make an impact across diverse healthcare settings? We are looking for a motivated professional to fill the Travel: Clinical Laboratory Scientist position.

    This role offers the chance to utilize your expertise in a variety of laboratory environments, contribute to patient care excellence, and enjoy the flexibility of travel assignments.

    Your proficiency in laboratory procedures, combined with a commitment to quality and accuracy, will be pivotal in supporting our mission to improve health outcomes.


    Required Skills:
    Certification as MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS. Current certification with maintained expiration date. Valid Louisiana State Licensure. Strong knowledge of routine and advanced laboratory testing procedures. Experience with laboratory instrumentation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Ability to operate, calibrate, and interpret results from laboratory equipment. Familiarity with Laboratory Information System (LIS) applications. Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and adherence to quality control standards. Strong communication skills to report critical values and collaborate with healthcare teams.


    Nice to Have Skills:
    Experience in diverse laboratory sections such as Microbiology, Hematology, Chemistry, or Blood Banking. Prior travel or temporary laboratory assignment experience. Familiarity with phlebotomy and patient specimen collection. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards in clinical laboratories.


    Preferred Education and Experience:

    Bachelor's Degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.

    Equivalent laboratory training or military laboratory experience meeting CLIA standards. Certification from recognized certifying agencies (ASCP, AMT, AAB, HEW/HHS). No prior experience required for recent graduates with approved clinical training; one year of approved full-time laboratory experience preferred.


    Other Requirements:
    Availability to work 7 on/7 off schedule (Wednesday-Tuesday, 2:00 PM 10:30 PM), with flexibility for schedule changes. Ability to travel to various healthcare facilities. Willingness to perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, including specimen processing and potentially phlebotomy. On-call responsibilities are not required. Willingness to participate in development and implementation of new testing protocols.
