    Position Description:

    Site Procurement Lead - Wilson

    Site Single Point of Contact (SPOC) - Business Partner will serve as a Senior Stakeholder facing representatives of Global Supplier Management Group (GSMG) – Direct Sourcing & Operations, and will be strategically located at our Manufacturing Division Sites. This role will serve as first point of contact for Site Leadership Teams, and will create and strengthen site connections with Global & Regional category sourcing team as required.

    By applying Service Mindset methodology, be accountable for the closing of strategic business needs inclusive of complex issue resolution, cross-category needs, emerging requirements, business priorities and requirements spanning a broad array of needs.

    The Site SPOC Business Partner members will raise feedback and new opportunities that arise from stakeholders and will drive best practice sharing within the network of Business Partner Management colleagues.

    Primary activities include, but are not limited to:

    Stakeholder Management – Will own the relationship with the Regional Core and Extended Leadership Teams in Regions, for any activity related to Indirect Sourcing Categories and Operations across divisions, inclusive but not exhaustive of:

    GSMG Scorecard - Consolidate, present, discuss and align the results and targets related to the specific geography. (Supplier Savings, Supplier Diversity, Compliance, Customer experience, and other

    Represent GSMG in monthly key meetings eg Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Quality Council meeting and Tier meetings and serve as a link between key site stakeholders and GSMG.

    Compliance - Responsible to coordinate and facilitate communication with the Program Management Office (PMO) for the consolidation, and readiness of of planned MCAAS and other Audits in region, with the follow up on outcomes and closing.

    Profit Plan - Full alignment with the business to related to Profit Planning for the Year +1, inclusive of discussions with Finance, Budget owners, and Managing Directors.

    Business Strategic Initiatives - Identify and develop in collaboration with the business and category leaders strategies to create competitive differentiation in market (example: ESG – Local Footprint, Sustentability, Innovation, etc.)

    Service Mindset - Will act as Point of Contact for issues that can improve efficiency, speed, and reputation of our company, and will lead within the GSMG Organization via Category Managers, GCO or others to bring resolution.

    Crisis Management - During Crisis due to Geopolitical, Security breaches, attacks, Pandemic, Supply, or other, will coordinate activities across the GSMG organization. When local acquisitions, divestiture, or entity changes that requires cross category coordination.

    Change Management – Will lead communication to the region stakeholder population to influence for the successful implementation of the IS&O service model, with will be inclusinve of continuous education and information.

    Site Operations Sourcing Excellence: - partner with the business to ensure efficient acquisition of goods and services that enables the commercialization of our medicines and vaccines products. Proactively communicate with SSC Leaders and teams, to allow for alignment on transformational initiatives, Strategy, Implementation.

    Category Management: Partner with the Regional Sourcing team to develop sourcing strategies for the more complex and difficult to manage Local categories and projects in the site. Participates in category global/regional strategies development and jointly responsible for local implementation of the strategies. Liaises with the Region to ensure site spend is managed in line with agreed Regional sourcing strategies.

    Global Category Framework - Participates on Global Category Framework teams to develop and implement Local and Regional/Global strategic source plans as appropriate.

    Sourcing Management: Represent site in development of Global and Regional strategy. Uses the Sourcing Management Process to apply required tools in the creation and implementation of local source plans to manage assurance of supply, quality, service, cost, innovation and regulatory compliance within the site, resulting in breakthrough strategies which optimize value and ensure appropriate risk management.

    Proactive Cost Management: Achieves cost control, cost reduction, and cost containment targets, and adds value to area of expenditure through a strong total cost orientation. Identifies and documents all cost reduction and profit plan improvements.

    Market Knowledge and Insight: Links market knowledge and site operations requirements to Region/Global sourcing teams to support the creation of breakthrough strategies.

    Supplier Management and Conditioning: Assists in evaluating potential suppliers on site specific issues. Is familiar with the various suppliers and product lines available in stakeholder areas. Responsible for building relationships with Local suppliers and managing supplier performance against business requirements using proven processes; ensures adequate inclusion of diversity suppliers in RFPs and contracts as applicable.

    Stakeholder Management and Business Sponsorship: Represents Global Procurement locally, understanding supply strategies and agreements and describing the benefits to their country based stakeholders. Assists in analyzing customer's business and evaluate if there are potential savings through supplier consolidation. Responsible for engaging assigned key country stakeholders and partners with them to define and meet or exceed business requirements and identify and manage profit plan savings targets.

    Contract Negotiation and Management: Once strategy is approved, personally leads the sourcing including RFX, RFP, negotiations and contracting for Local categories to put in place the right suppliers.

    Position Qualifications:

    Education Minimum Requirement:

    • BS in Business, Finance, Engineering or related field strongly preferred.
    • MBA or advanced degree and/or relevant certification is desirable.

    Required Experience and Skills:

    • 5 to 10 years of strategic sourcing experience with strong knowledge of related sourcing processes, tools/systems, policies and best practices.
    • Experiences in making tactical and strategic decisions, with people management skills and leadership qualities
    • Previous experience in biotech-pharmaceutical industry, with a strong understanding of regulatory filing requirement
    • Proven track record successfully leading global, cross-functional teams aimed at improving sourcing processes including tool selection and implementation.
    • Ability to effectively articulate recommendations and lead the implementation plan within the project budget and timelines
    • Experience working with sourcing tools including eSourcing/eAuction platforms, Spend Analytics, Risk Mitigation, SRM/SPM, Contract Management and P2P platforms.
    • Experienced in process improvement and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Practical working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles resulting in measurable and tangible benefits to the organization.
    • Understanding of, and ideally experience employing, emerging analytics tools including big data analysis and cognitive learning that provide deeper insights that drive enhanced business value.
    • Understands the importance of supplier relationship management; tangible experience engaging with strategic suppliers and business stakeholders to drive a culture of continuous improvement and breakthrough innovations.
    • Stakeholder Management & Communication - Proactively seeks to engage business partners and stakeholders. Understand their short and long terms needs, requirements and effective in ensuring requirements are reflected in sourcing strategies to meet both operational and strategic needs. Communication will play a key role in success and will play an important part within the job.

    Skills:

    • Knowledge of Procurement related business processes.
    • Cultural awareness and sensitivity required.
    • Demonstrates Company Leadership Standards at the Manager or Manager of Manager level, with particular strengths in Championing Change, Communicate Candidly, Build Talent, Achieves Results.
