    The Human Resources Coordinator assists with the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource function under the direction of the Director of Human Resources.


    Specific Responsibilities will include:
    Recruiting- Works with hiring managers to identify attributes of ideal applicant and develop strategies for filling vacancies.

    H2B Visa Program - Works with our 3rd party consultants to ensure paperwork is completed accurately and submitted timely to prevent delays in the program.

    Will assist with travel and housing arrangements for H2B workforce.

    Acts as the main HR point of contact for our H2B employees and be a liaison between management and workers to ensure the highest quality experience for our seasonal workforce.

    Employee relations-Works with the OUP and HR Director to develop, disseminate and maintain the employee handbook
    Performance management-Work closely with Department Managers to assist them with employee issues, including hiring, terminations, discipline, performance conversations, etc.
    Learning and development-Offer or assist with periodic training on all aspects of human resources including benefits, harassment and discrimination.
    Policies and procedures - Helps monitor compliance to corporate policies as it relates to hiring and termination.
    Employee records/files-Responsible for auditing employee file folders for completeness and inclusion of appropriate records

    Requirements:
    EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED

    Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English (required) and Spanish (preferred), at ease with all Microsoft software programs.

    Minimum of 1 year of experience administering and implementing human resource programs
    Strong analytical skills, comfortable working with numbers and spreadsheets
    Ability to build relationships, be trustworthy and interact with all levels of employees.
    Ability to manage by influence rather than by rules and policies
    Provides high quality customer service and quick call resolution while considering how a decision may impact the company moving forward
    Proactive versus reactive in nature
    Ability to travel to other operating units occasionally

    EDUCATION:
    Associates degree in Human Resources or related discipline
    Willingness to accept continuing education and pursuit of professional HR Certification (PHR or SPHR)
