    **Job Description:**

    **SUMMARY:**

    The Manufacturing Team Leader will work with a team of assemblers building original equipment with a focus on efficiency, safety, and process improvement.

    **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

    Lead the Assembly Team within assigned area to ensure the team is focused on manufacturing

    processes as efficiently as possible

    Serve as a technical resource

    Develop the skill and capability of the roles within the Team to build a high level of base

    competency and cross training across roles

    Empower the Manufacturing Team with meaningful roles to drive high levels of quality, productivity,

    and delivery in order to meet or exceed customer expectations.

    Lead a team of associates in the assembly of machines to maximize efficiency, equipment value, cross training, and development.

    Support a culture of continuous improvement, utilize available resources and tools to reduce downtime, identify and implement process improvements, oversee use of standard work processes, and identify training needs.

    Work with the Quality team to address QIRs, and solid containment, root cause, and permanent corrective actions.

    Identify core competency machines and operate them to full capacity.

    Plan for rapid response capability to meet customer needs.

    Create and sustain a safety environment that promotes a safety mindset, embraces training and adherence to safety policies and procedures, and encourages awareness and correction of safety hazards.

    Ensure that work areas and equipment are maintained in clean and orderly condition and all safety regulations are observed; report and correct any unsafe work practices or conditions immediately.

    Perform all other duties as assigned.

    **EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:**

    Associate degree in electro-mechanical technology or a related field and five years of related experience, or a high school diploma/GED and seven years of related experience.

    At least two years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

    **KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:**

    Technical expertise in electro-mechanical technology

    Demonstrated communication, organization, and time management skills.

    Proven problem-solving skills, planning, and scheduling abilities.

    Proficient in Microsoft Office.
