- JOB SUMMARY
- The Medical Physicist, in collaboration with, and under the medical direction of the Radiation Oncologist, engages in treatment planning, research and development, policy drafting, patient and physician liaison, equipment commissioning, training, lecturing, and monitoring health and safety regulations for the facility's radiation therapy services.

- Knowledge of radiation safety principles, Universal Precautions, generally accepted quality control practices for radiation services. Team oriented, skilled in communicating both verbally and in writing. Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with other medical personnel. Ability to advise and teach technical staff. Ability to demonstrate positive customer relations and present a professional image. Ability to maintain patient confidentiality. Ability to perform computer functions associated with radiation therapy equipment. Ability to write legibly, see, hear, read, and speak English.
