    Product reliably meets all agreed customer requirements.
    Maintain manufacturing costs at agreed levels.

    Drive a continuous improvement mindset throughout the department and organization to constantly advance process efficiencies, reduce costs, and achieve business growth plans.

    Comply and hold all personnel accountable for all facility procedures and initiatives.

    Act as the production champion for quality and regulatory systems including cGMP & ISO documentation, food safety and all GFSI initiatives across the site.

    Complete and close all action items related to customer complaints, hazard studies, and audit findings.

    Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsures efficient operation of all production areas and establishes optimum manufacturing/ process conditions at lowest cost basis.

    Ensure safe process and work conditions through active leadership in Safety, Health and Environment (SHE)Drives continuous improvement initiatives and is accountable for addressing all department required actions in a timely manner.

    Prepares proposals for process modification and capital expenditures in cooperation with other technical departments.
    Contributes to process and product development activities.
    Ensures an effective production planning procedure.
    Responsible for continually improving and achieving production standards in terms of physical yield utilities and chemicals consumption.
    Responsible to the Site Manager for developing the production organization through selection/development/management of all production personnel.
    Ensures that the plant is following all local and Company standards for safety and environmental requirements.

    Ensures all GFSI, ISO, cGMP, HACCP, Food Safety, Food Defense, Prerequisite programs, and operating procedures are in place, trained, and followed.

    Serves as department leader ensuring incidents (production or safety related) are investigated to determine root cause and corrective actions implemented.

    Oversees the facility training program and trainer to ensure the work force is continually developed.
    Ensures that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained and continually improved.
    Develop and implement procedures related to the production units, human resources, safety, and quality requirements.
    Contributes to the harmonious human relations environment through effective management and communication with the work force.
    Qualifications/CompetenciesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
    Education/ExperienceMust have bachelor's degree in an engineering field - preferably Chemical Engineering.
    A minimum of five (5) years industrial management experience, preferably in a continuous chemical/process plant.
    Must possess strong management skills with previous supervisory experience.
    Project management experience is also preferable.
    Experience with ISO and Food Safety quality systems is highly desired.
