    **Job Title:** Advanced Supplier Quality Engineer (ASQE) - Rotating Parts and Compressor Airfoils

    The Advanced Supplier Quality Engineer (ASQE) will drive Management of Change and deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) with external suppliers to ensure on-time supply of production engine components that conform to GE Aerospace manufacturing and quality requirements.

    This role is responsible for leading standardization of tools and process to be followed throughout the business, working closely with other functions to develop a zero-defect culture at suppliers through the Aerospace AS9145 APQP standard and AS13100 quality standard.

    The ASQE will ensure that the Rotating Parts and Compressor Airfoils part family continually develops the Management of Change process in line with the design intent of the customer and verifies their systems to ensure compliance with the end customer's needs.

    This position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to lead change through influence. The successful candidate will be an individual contributor who can work independently but also collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    **Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage APQP process for new product introduction (NPI) and legacy parts implementing a zero-defect strategy utilizing APQP concepts and deliverables while meeting customer needs.
    • Develop procedures and work instructions that support APQP and AS9145 / AS13100 requirements.
    • Accountable for overall Management of Change as defined by established processes, policies, and tools for external suppliers' hardware and programs.
    • Support new product launches and legacy products to ensure suppliers meet required standards while promoting a zero-defect culture.
    • Lead/Develop roadmaps that lead to successful integration of Management of Change and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) into existing policies and procedures.
    • Maintain and communicate Source Change and/or NPI plan execution to partner pillars, respective Commodity teams, and customer program focal points.
    • Collaborate with various leaders in different functions to understand best approaches to implementing changes within NPI and Product Management.
    • Train and coach individuals and teams on various elements within Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) such as FMEAs, Gage R&Rs, Control Plans, MSA, etc.
    • Lead key elements in all stages of APQP and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities.
    • Collaborate with various leaders in different functions to develop and implement a review process for ensuring rigor and quality of completed deliverables.
    • Generate executive summaries indicating status, business impact, and significant issues related to NPI projects.

    **Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or high school diploma / GED with 10 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering).
    • A minimum of 5 years of manufacturing and/or Quality Engineering experience in the automotive or aerospace industry.
    • Knowledge of rotating parts manufacturing and production processes.
    • Experience with APQP implementation and execution in a manufacturing environment or at suppliers.
    • Knowledge of government compliance and quality control regulatory standards.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, and mentor technical teams.
    • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
    • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
    • Established project management skills and ability to lead programs/projects.
    • Prior Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Quality Control experience.
    • Understanding of AS9100 – AS13100.
    • Knowledge of measurement techniques, metrology, Inspection Methods, and Equipment.
    • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and engineering drawings.
    • Understanding manufacturing processes.
    • Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment.
    • Planning and prioritizing activities.
    • Negotiation skills.
    • Ability to present data effectively.
    • Understanding of Health and Safety practices.
    • Team working skills.
    • Analytical skills.
    • Experience in Lean manufacturing.
