    Department Overview The Cloud Platform Engineering department builds, operates and manages the platform for the Public Safety Application Software as a Service (SaaS) from Motorola Solutions Inc.

    You will work with a group that is in charge of maintaining the security of these vital systems, which are utilized on a daily basis by government and public safety organizations in several nations.

    Job Description

    To expand our security and compliance team, we are looking for a capable leader in security and compliance. The primary duty of this position is to lead cross-functional teams that create SaaS solutions on the Google cloud

    services platform in terms of Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance.

    As you balance the security requirements between general, cloud-agnostic security techniques and optimal cloud-specific methods, you will have an impact on defining the necessary common security procedures and the execution of security controls.


    Responsibilities:
    Security procedures creation and maintenance that comply with the CJIS security policy and the NIST control framework

    Evidence gathering, evidence assessment, and mapping to CJIS requirements and associated standards. It is highly beneficial to be familiar with compliance management techniques and technologies.


    Assist the applicable development teams in designing and implementing products in a way that complies with security standards, requirements, and CJIC policy.

    Establish the approach, frequency, and process for conducting internal audits to evaluate compliance readiness. Conduct internal audits and oversee the necessary corrective actions to address any issues raised by the audits.


    Lead and coordinate communication and delivery of CJIS compliance evidence with authorized customers and external audit organizations as required by the Motorola Solutions business.


    Collaborate with the Google cloud compliance team to execute a CJIS Security Addendum with the States, according to Motorola Solutions business priorities.

    Establish partnerships and manage the certification process with government agencies that will seek independent CJIS compliance.


    Qualifications:
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field

    Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including cross-functional leadership experience

    Superb problem-solving skills, sound judgment and decision-making skills

    Competency to translate complex security concepts into layman's terms

    Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

    Thorough knowledge of security frameworks (e.g. NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, CJIS, SOC2), security compliance processes and security audits.

    Working knowledge of industry-leading information security tools and technologies.

    Strong understanding of software development process and software lifecycle.

    Must be familiar with key cloud architectures and cloud security best practices.

    Experience and knowledge of at least one cloud service provider technology with the preference to Google Cloud Provider (GCP)

    A recognized security certification is desired

    Must be a US Citizen.


    This position is subject to working in high security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc.

    Basic Requirements


    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field with 7+ years experience OR 10+ years of equivalent experience with Compliance and/or Security.

    Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including cross-functional leadership experience

    Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer

    Must be a US Citizen.
