    We also offer unique services like our ambulatory surgery center and nuclear stress testing facility.
    Our more than 40 physicians, specialists and credentialed health care providers are assisted by 175 trained support staff.

    We do our best to take care of everything for our patients - records, scheduling appointments, coordinating with providers and specialists, and each of our offices has laboratory centers for tests and blood work on site.

    We are seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to join our Gastro / Endo Team in our Ambulatory Surgery CenterThe Ambulatory Surgery/Endoscopy Center of Clinical Associates, P.A.

    has a Full-Time position available for a qualified, team oriented Registered Nurse. The ASC, located in Towson, operates Monday
    • Friday from 7:00 a.
    m. to 3:00 p.m. performing endoscopies and colonoscopies.

    In order to qualify for this position, you must be a Registered Nurse with experience working in an ASC, or pre-op/post-op area (ICU, ED, Critical Care), preferably with GI experience.

    Our ideal candidate must have IV competency, a current State of Maryland license, certification in CPR, and ACLS.

    Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
    Provides a safe environment for patients.

    Works with anesthesia provider and the scheduling personnel to evaluate condition of patients pre-procedure for appropriateness to be scheduled in ASC.Reviews the patient's history sheet containing medications, allergies, surgeries, medical history, reason for endoscopy or colonoscopy procedure.

    Completes the approved pre-admission documentation.
    Educates the patient as to what to expect before, during and after the procedure.
    Starts and maintain IV ordered by the Physician, anesthesiologist, nurse anesthetist.
    Initiates oxygen by nasal cannula at 2 liters or otherwise designated by the anesthetist.
    Documents initial vital signs to establish a baseline. Alert the physician of any significant concerns.
    Transfers the patient to the recovery room when approved by anesthesia provider.
    Oversees recovery of the patient.


    Qualifications & Minimum Requirements:
    Current State of Maryland License MUST HAVE 2 years experience in GI Appropriate IV therapy skills.

    Ability to build rapport with staff and patientsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in computer skills with a willingness and ability to learn new applicationsAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

    Ability to interact effectively with culturally diverse patient and employee population.
    Ability to convey a positive attitude and project a professional image.
    Ability to remain flexible.
    Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    Requires long periods of standing, intermittent sitting, reaching and bending. Must be able to move freely throughout the facility and be able to lift approximately 10 to 20 lbs. regularly and provides minimal assistance to patients onto and off of procedure tables, exam tables and stretchers.
