    Our client is a global 300 million manufacturer.

    The Manager, Procurement & Supply Chain will be responsible for the overall coordination of Procurement agreements for indirect goods and services requirements including strategic raw materials, packaging, and transportation services.

    Establish contemporary procurement practices across all U.S.

    sites, including but not limited to, implementation of business strategies that support adapting to changing market conditions, new business opportunities, and cost reduction strategies.

    Collaborate with operational functions to ensure procured goods are efficiently leveraged across the organization.


    This position also independently and collaboratively designs and directs procurement processes, including RFx activities for vetting suppliers, negotiating prices, and establishing preferred supplier contracts.


    Another dimension of this role is to enable optimal performance by building the infrastructure required to support this supply chain for various business units for the company.


    The successful candidate will work within the business units ensuring the successful execution of seasonal and annual objectives.


    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Develop, oversee and coordinate the procurement and supply chain policies.

    Develop and track appropriate metrics to drive results and continuous improvement.

    Develop and identify metrics, tools, resources and roadmaps to support a high level of customer satisfaction.

    Plan, direct, or coordinate the activities involved in purchasing materials, products, and services.


    Position is responsible for all aspects of the Procurement Department including: developing and maintaining purchasing procedures and guidelines to optimize financial performance.

    Develop and execute commodity/supply chain strategies to improve quality, cost, delivery, and financial performance.

    Controls all purchasing within department to satisfy budgets and guidelines.

    Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy and best financial decision making.

    Must maintain excellent vendor management.

    When empowered, manage all aspects of Purchasing functions in a multi-entity matrix organization.

    Lead all indirect purchasing related indirect & minor raw material purchasing initiatives.

    Aligning resources, prioritizing strategies, establishing targets and implementing cost improvement initiatives.

    Develop sourcing strategies, practices, and processes for various companies.


    Consolidate supply base by locating, analyzing, developing and maintaining a supply base to meet current and future needs for all indirect purchased materials and services.

    Establish the selection and approval of the regional and national supplier base.

    Identify, negotiate, and implement site and multiple site supplier contracts.

    Maintain strong relationships with internal departments and operations to optimize Company's success.

    Communicate market developments to management that could impact production or customer deliveries.

    Establish, analyze and develop policies and procedures. Provide guidelines and implement new procedures as needed to increase quality, productivity and cost effectiveness.

    Maintain an open channel of communication with internal customers.

    Understand and recognize the interrelation of sales, production, distribution, and maintenance operations to all functions.

    Ensure service is delivered, deadlines are met, and quality is maintained. Assess staffing needs.

    Make practical team oriented decisions while maintaining proactive communications with company departments and operations.

    Provide training, follow-up and feedback to all dotted-line direct reports.


    Requirements


    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, and/or related field, MBA and/or CPM preferred.
    • - 10 years Procurement and/or Inventory Management experience.
    • - 5 years Contracting and Strategic Sourcing experience in the Chemical Manufacturing industry.
    • 3+ years' experience in Supply Chain or Operations Management.
    • Experience using Oracle or other ERP statistical software packages.
    Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship is required.

    Local candidates to the Tri-State area (PA/NJ/DE) are encouraged to apply.

    Must be able to travel at any time to remote locations or customers.

    Occasional domestic travel required.
