The Dynatite Machine Operator's primary function are to operate the Laser machine and ensure proper cutting programs.Job Duties:
Perform typical laser cutting operations.
Select proper cutting programs and proper fixtures.
Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point.
Correct and clear any errors on the laser.
Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor and/or automation specialist.
Use technical drawing/blueprints to ensure laser program cuts as intended.
Manually lift raw materials, final products and items packed for shipment.
Removing parts from sheets and stacking them on skids.
Packing parts as needed either in boxes or with strapping tape and labeling parts appropriately.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills & AbilitiesMust be able to read/write in English.
Basic computer skills.
Familiarity with sheet metal laser cutters preferred but not required.
Understanding of different types of materials (Mild steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Galvanized steel).Problem solving and critical thinking.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to switch focus between projects quickly.
Must be able to assist in other areas/departments when there is downtime.
Must be able to work 4pm-3am (Monday-Thursday)Must be able to use standard hand tools
Must be flexible
Forklift experience preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
