    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Team Leader will provide back-up to Clinical Manager and answer the ChAMPS main number to provide screening and assignment of cases to the program and its staff in accordance with best practice standards of the profession, contract/grant requirements, and all agency policy and procedures.

    This position will also be responsible for administrative functions on behalf of the program and is considered an essential position.


    Supervision: Provide administrative supervision to 2 FTEs and 4 PTEs

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assists with training new staff and interns, which will include supervising new staff in the field.
    • Provides back up for the calls from the Champs main number and reports to the Clinical Managers.
    • Assist in reviewing and editing non-billable credible documentation for approval.
    • Provides appropriate support to Crisis Specialist during deployments.
    • Maintains quality clinical practices and is a role model to staff for quality improvement.
    • Follows-up with clients, parents, adults/caregivers to ensure understanding of the crisis intervention follow up and process.
    • Support regular team meetings and daily exchange of case assignments.
    • Responds to children in crisis to de-escalate, assess the clinical needs of the client and determine eligibility for services, in the event of no teams available for deployment.
    • Develops and maintains client case records and writes clinical notes.
    • Shares on-call, after hours coverage.
    • Conducts monthly ride-along and shadowing of teams for quality review.
    • Works with families, schools, and other agencies to coordinate and facilitate services to clients.
    • Conducts outreach sessions to schools, communities, hospitals, and stakeholders.

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

    • Masters in social work, Mental Health, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
    • Current license in relevant field in the District of Columbia (LGSW, LGPC, LICSW or LPC).
    • One year experience managing workloads and case assignments.
    • Experience in related field of Crisis Response and/or Crisis Intervention.
    • Experience with community outreach and development.

    SKILLS and COMPETENCIES:

    • Driving is required. Must have valid local license and clean driving record.
    • Skilled in crisis intervention, case management, co-occurring disorder treatment and administrative reporting.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
