- Provides a full range of psychiatric services. Diagnoses mental disorders particularly for complex patients.
- Provides comprehensive interventions.
- Provides consultation to professional staff within the other specialty programs in the Mental Health Service.
- Develops, implements, and documents the psychotherapeutic treatment plan for an assigned caseload of patients, including prompt completion of clinical reminders.
- Functions independently as a member of the VA ECHCS Medical Staff, with full clinical privileges. Assumes complete professional responsibility for his/her clinical assessment findings, patient care decisions, and documentation.
- Provides outreach services to veterans and family members.
- Conducts face-to-face appointments at a clinic and telework appointments or to the patient's device (i.e. VA Video Connect). Appropriate protocols will be followed and documentation will be completed.
- Provides supervision to medical students and residents as appropriate.
- Participates in on-call coverage pool.

Description
Summary
This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program.
You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment.
Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.

Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)
Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
