    About the Opportunity:

    Brightspeed is seeking a dynamic Procurement Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Sourcing & Procurement, you will be instrumental in shaping the vision and strategy for IT, Indirect, and Direct categories across our organization. The ideal candidate will align closely with Brightspeed's business objectives, driving comprehensive category strategies, efficiency, value, and contract negotiations. You will cultivate strong partnerships internally and externally, champion industry best practices, and provide recommendations for improved business performance. Additionally, you will oversee various projects, engage with all levels of management to negotiate deals, and play a key role in steering transformative initiatives.     Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with senior business leaders to understand priorities, strategies, and challenges
    • Earn respect as a Trusted Advisor by showcasing expertise in category management
    • Devise strategies to enhance business support, drive efficiencies, and optimize performance
    • Partner with stakeholders to reduce unnecessary expenses and maximize value
    • Stay updated on industry trends to uphold top-tier standards
    • Contribute to the development of procurement processes and systems
    • Optimize supplier relationships and performance
    • Implement strategies to improve efficiency and performance
    • Manage financial aspects and foster strong relationships with partners
    • Ensure operational excellence and effective communication
    • Lead supplier performance reviews and identify opportunities for innovation

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 7 years in Category Management, Strategic Sourcing, or related fields
    • Experience with change management initiatives
    • Demonstrated expertise in driving transformational change
    • Track record of building collaborative relationships and developing strategic plans
    • Proficiency in process improvement and policy implementation
    • Strong negotiation skills and financial acumen
    • Self-motivated, with a passion for strategic thinking
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior leaders
    • Proficient in Excel
