NTG is seeking a qualified Information Technology (IT) professional to support the USSOCOM SITEC III Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) contract

Job Description
Network Engineers perform tier-three network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD
Network Engineers must be detail-oriented and have in-depth knowledge of networking hardware and software
Extensive experience in areas such as network design and implementation, LAN/WAN interfacing, security, Internet protocols, and TCP/IP, as well as server and network infrastructure, is required
This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the CSfC program for USSOCOM
Network Engineers is also responsible for planning, modeling, simulation, design, installation, maintenance, management, and coordination of the network
This position monitors and controls the performance and status of network resources by using software and hardware tools, as well as by identifying and diagnosing complex problems and factors affecting network performance
Network Engineers keep his or her technical skills updated and study vendor products to determine those which best meet the Government's needs
This position provides guidance and direction for junior network support technicians

Typical duties include:

• Engineering enterprise data, VPN's, and Mobility solutions within the NSA's CSfC guidance
• Implementing secure solutions utilizing vendor diverse COTS products
• Daily hands on with multiple vendors including Cisco, Juniper, and Aruba
• Establishing and operating complex Network designs and infrastructure
• Providing high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology, including LAN/WAN hardware, routers, switches, firewalls, mobility controllers, and encryption devices
• Working with vendors, the Government, carriers, and technical staff on network implementation, optimization, and ongoing management

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, a Mathematics-intensive discipline, or a similar field

Significant relevant experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

Certification Requirements:

• DoDD M IAT II or higher
• CCNP Collaboration OR
• CCNP Data Center OR
• CCNP Enterprise OR
• CCNP Security OR
• CCNP Service Provider OR
• CCIoT OR
• Aruba Certified Mobility Professional OR

Juniper Networks Certified Specialist Experience Requirements:

• 8 years of increasingly complex and progressive experience in computer systems and network engineering, including 6 years of specialized experience related to the candidate's assigned task.
• Hands-On working experience with Cisco, Juniper SRX, and Aruba is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IPsec VPN technology.

Essential Functions Work Environment

• Work will be performed inside a large facility

An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting).

• Work assignments vary based on client requirements.
• Work may include travel with the military to participate in exercises in austere conditions.
• Outside work may include various environmental conditions including hot, dusty, cold, icy, and windy climates

• Operating hand tools, power tools, ladders, and test equipment.
• May require operating motor vehicles.

Attendance

• Regular attendance in accordance with the established work schedule is mandatory.
• It is important to be able to work any shift/designated hours required.
• You may be asked to continue performance in support of a war, contingency, or exercise.
• You may be asked to continue performance during inclement weather or other conditions when others are not permitted to work.
• Position may require night and weekend work and could include travel with the military to participate in operations/exercises located in areas with field conditions.

• Continental and overseas travel may be required

Other Essential Functions

• Employment is contingent upon obtaining all required certifications within the timeframe specified in a waiver by the government (if applicable) and maintaining required certifications through the duration of the contract

Failure to obtain/maintain required certifications will result in disqualification for this position and could result in termination.

Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment

• Grooming and dress are usually business casual but dependent on the client's standards
