    Job Summary

    The Licensed Practical Nurse LPN provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long term care under the supervision of a registered nurse advanced practice provider or physician. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population specific standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan possesses ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the residents status and provide required care recognizes problems recommends solutions responds effectively assists emergent situations ensures health comfort safety residents contributes assessment residents administers medications treatments ordered provides technical support healthcare professionals documents resident interactions outcomes related resident care medication behavior activity dietary establishes maintains effective working relationships stakeholders communicates clearly maintains confidentiality sensitive information counsels residents family members advocates direction registered nurses advanced practice providers physicians develops self-care program performs other duties assigned
