Job DescriptionThe Department of Sociology at Augsburg University invites applications for adjunct faculty positions to teach introductory courses in Sociology during the and academic years. Responsibilities include teaching at the undergraduate level in person and during our Day schedule (between the hours of 7:50 am to 5:20 pm). Our greatest need is for instructors who can teach Introduction to Sociology. We have varying needs for the next 2 years for the following: Introduction to Urban Sociology; Family Systems; Race, Class, Gender; Introduction to Criminology, and Topics courses (that the Candidate can propose). Instructors are expected to respond to student questions through email and hold regularly scheduled office hours. This is a union position, covered by a collective bargaining agreement with SEIU. Three courses are possible.
