    Position Summary


    The Athletic Trainer is responsible for providing athletic training support to all CWC intercollegiate teams to include the prevention, care and treatment of injuries to student athletes.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Provides athletic trainer support to all CWC athletic teams.

    Provide needed pre-event and pre-practice preperations for all teams (taping, wrapping, padding, etc).

    Recognize, evaluate, treat and document all athletic injuries.

    Provide rehabilitation of athletic injuires when appropriate.

    Promote strategies for athletic injury prevention.

    Supervise the athletic training room.

    Organize and maintain medical records of student athletes.

    Assist area agencies, including EMT's, law enforcement, fire department, etc., in responding to events emergencies.

    Monitors Athletic Trainer program budget expendictures.

    Represent the college in a positive manner with prospective, current and former students, employees, officials, and the community.

    Operate within the framework established by CWC's policies, procedures, and practices.

    Attends assigned college, department, and division meetings that are included in the defined area of responsiblities.

    Perform other reasonably related duties as directed or assigned.

    Position Specifications

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education


    Bachelor's degree in a directly related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the US Department of Education.

    Experience

    3 years of directly related experience, preferably in a higher education setting.

    Licenses/Certifications

    Athletic Trainer Certification

    CPR and First Aid Certification or ability to gain certification

    Possess a valid Wyoming driver's license and be insurable by the college's insurance carrier.

    Equivalency Statement


    Equivalent combinations of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

    Desired Qualifications

    Master's degree in related field

    Prior intercollegiate experience as an athletic trainer

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

    Extensive knowledge of athletic training

    Strong personal work ethic and high degree of personal integrity

    Effective interpersonal and communication skills

    Ability to relate to and work with a diverse student population, faculty, administrators, and community members

    Ability to maintain confidentiality and to effectively identify and resolve problems

    Ability to promote a positive atmosphere of teamwork and cooperation both within the College and the community

    Ability to organize, prioritize and follow multiple projects and tasks through to completion

    Ability to maintain athletic training equipment and work space

    Ability to work independently with frequent interruptions


    Proficient in the use of word processing, database, and presentation applications, specifically Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Datatel.

    Demonstrated ability to be accountable for decision making and for being dependable and reliable.

    Knowledge of and ability to follow CWC policies, procedures and practices.

    Level of Supervision

    This position operates under the direct supervision of the Dean of Students.

    Equipment Used

    The essential functions of this job require use of standard office equipment, telephone, and radio communication devices.

    Athletic Training including but not limited to Stem Machine, Hydrocollator

    Physical Requirements


    Must be able to move up furniture weighing up to 25 lbs for the purpose of arranging furniture within dorm rooms, as required.

    Requires lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds frequently

    Environmental Conditions

    Work is performed in an athletic training room, gymnasium, office setting and various sports facilities under limited supervision.

    Work requires evening and weekend hours.

    Work is performed both indoors and outdoors

    Requires post-offer pre-employment background screening

    Qualifications:

    EDUCATION:
    A bachelor's degree with an emphasis on psychology, sociology, anthropology, advertising, or related field or strong relevant experience.


    PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE


    A minimum of 3+ years of brand planning or related experience at an advertising agency or on the client side.

    Proven ability to work with creative teams.

    Proven ability to execute quantitative and qualitative research projects.

    Experience working with Simmons/MRI and syndicated research partners.

    Ability to coach junior planners on projects.

    Ability to develop a positive and collaborative relationship with clients.

    Ability to proactively drive work forward while collaborating with key partners throughout.

    Strong writing, reasoning and presenting skills.

    Specific


    • Use and establish as necessary procurement strategies and schedules to ensure that project/area-specific requirements are managed within the procurement process.
    • Early and active involvement to secure strategic scope Develop RFX documentation in collaboration with the respective Project/Area lead within the program and project organization.
    • Drive and track RFX's and related quotations, purchases for each respective RFX, and act as the owner of the commercial contacts with suppliers.
    • Participate in the program's Quality Assurance and Quality Control process for RFXs by driving the process for each RFX.
    • Coordinate purchasing issues between projects, sub-projects and line organization.
    • Establish and lead negotiation teams, prepare and conduct negotiations to achieve established goals.
    • Follow up and report against the program's procurement plan and against the program's and project's metrics and milestones.
    • Establish, plan, and lead relevant forums and, upon request, participate in relevant forums, according to the program's meeting structure.
    • Contract management, including contract risks, deviations, claims management, etc. (in collaboration with the program's Legal support when needed)
    • Assist Head of Procurement Transformation Program in reporting to Program Management, etc.
    • Abide by the Delegation of Authority matrix
