A Joint Commission-certified staffing agency is seeking a quality Med-Surg registered nurse (RN) for a travel assignment with one of our top healthcare clients. The traveling nurse will be handling Med-Surg or telemetry cases, working 12-hour night shifts, and will be employed on a 13-week travel contract with the following details:
The ideal candidate should have an active RN license, degree from an accredited nursing program, BLS Certifications, and eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care Med/Surg setting. Other requirements to be determined by our client facility. Med-Surg/Telemetry Nurses provide care for primarily adult patients before and after surgical procedures. They also attend to those who are being treated with pharmaceuticals to manage illness. Med/Surg Nurses will encounter a broad range of medical conditions, so they must be well-versed in a large variety of health conditions. Duties will include completing assignments made by physicians, providing routine treatment and post-surgical care, assessing changes in patient's health status, performing various treatments, and administering medication. Meticulous documentation of medication and treatment administration is crucial to ensure continuity of care between nursing staff, physicians, and other treatment team members.
