    Salary Range

    The salary range for this position is $26.50 per hour.

    The specific salary/payrate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.

    Hours/Days

    HOME EVERY DAY. WEEKENDS OFF 7 PAID HOLIDAYS OFF

    6:00am - 4:00pm. This is a 4 day a week position with 10-hour shift. Our drivers deliver Monday-Friday with Saturday and Sunday's off and an additional day off during the business week. Delivery drivers are on call on their assigned business day off. Two Saturday mornings a year are required for a driver meeting.

    Essential Role Overview:
    Hill & Markes, Inc.

    is looking for a dedicated Day Delivery CDL B Driver This position is responsible for driving with the capacity of more than 18,000 GVW to deliver product to customers in the Lake Placid region.

    In this position you will act as the face of our company by providing on time deliveries matched with superior in person customer service.

    Essential functions

    • Adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
    • Inspect truck and complete Driver Vehicle Condition Report pre - departure and upon return.
    • Maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations (including documentation of time and mileage)
    • Deliver product to customers using hand - truck or other equipment.
    • Understand and adhere to Company Safety policies and procedures.
    • Follow established reporting procedures in the event of vehicle, property, or personal injury accident.
    • Responsible for all company - owned property
    • Responsible for cleaning truck cab and box after use, checking oil and fluids, and for fueling truck.
    • Additional duties as assigned by Operations Manager or other management.

    Requirements


    • Competent in DOT regulations and requirements as it pertains to role.
    • Able to pass a pre - employment drug screen, DOT physical, background and motor vehicle record (MVR) screening.

    • Long periods of sitting while driving.
    • Must be able to lift 100 lbs

    • Push and Pull 3000lbs

    • May be required to move product up and/or down sets of stairs

    Required education and experience


    • At least one year of related experience
    • MUST have a clean CDL A License
    • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
    Preferred education and experience


    • Hazmat Certification preferred but not required.
    • 5+ years of CDLA Driving experience.
    Work authorization/security clearance requirements

    Must be authorized to work in the United States of America
