    Essential Job Functions:

    • Transportation planning duties include:
      1. Handle all aspects of domestic transportation and prepare necessary documentation to ensure timely shipment and delivery of goods
      2. Coordinate and communicate with freight forwarders and 3rd Party Logistics Partners to facilitate overseas transportation of freight and streamline customs clearance
      3. Build strong relationships with carrier partners and negotiate to balance service and cost
    • Track and Trace shipments, as necessary, manually and using systems, to confirm adherence to requested delivery dates and service agreements
    • Analyze, develop, and maintain strategic KPIs for measuring logistics performance
    • Prepare freight rate quotes and respond to inquiries from commercial team, etc. regarding logistics costs & service
    • Provide shipping documents and logistics information to Finance during inquiries and audits
    • Ensure internal, external, and governmental regulatory compliance for all transportation moves
    • Offer proactive suggestions to improve processes, drive continuous supply chain improvements, and reduce costs
    • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with those on your team, as well as cross-functionally

    Qualifications:

    • College degree preferred, and/or relevant experience considered
    • 2+ Years Logistics/Transportation Planning experience a plus, preferably in chemical or related field
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products, SAP experience preferred.
    • Must have strong communication skills, manage multiple tasks, and work well under pressure and strict time constraints
    • Hazardous material certification preferred. Understanding of DOT, IMO and IATA regulations
