Our client is a large Gov Con based in Northern VA is looking to grow their in-house Accounting Team. We are actively seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join their dynamic and thriving organization. This role is a permanent, direct hire opportunity working 100% remote.

Unanet experience is required.

Responsibilities:

Participate in the day-to-day finance and accounting operations
Reconciles account balances such as cash, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
Maintain company credit cards and perform reconciliations
Assist management in month-end accounting close process
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare fixed asset and accumulated depreciation amortization schedules
Help maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
Able to reprioritize tasks quickly with accuracy
Post customer payments in AR on a weekly basis
Keep record of Business Tax licenses and payments and calendar the same
Assist in the preparation of audit material as required, work with the auditor as needed
Involvement in various accounting projects as directed by management
Monitor all aspects related to financial health including general ledger account balances, accounting vendor performance, research of financial issues, FAS & CAS related issues and a variety of other tasks associated with the Accounting Department
