- Manages and facilitates patient-centered nursing care for specific patient populations, serving as a real-time clinical expert for unit staff and physicians to address escalated problem-solving on patients, processes, and family matters.
- Leads change by developing, implementing, and evaluating quality and process improvement initiatives in collaboration with the director, seeking input from staff and overseeing implementation.
- Facilitates communication of system, regional, facility, and department initiatives.
- Manages and develops operational and capital budgets, as well as associated resources.
- Ensures staff leadership development by designing effective shared leadership models and supporting career advancement opportunities, serving as a role model for staff development.
- Responsible for selection, orientation, onboarding, and retention of staff, and actively engages in coaching, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and development opportunities to foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Manages large single unit or multiple clinical units to ensure outstanding patient care, developing entry-level nurse managers while leading clinical improvement initiatives.

Description
This position entails providing managerial and clinical support to patients and staff, leveraging extensive clinical management knowledge to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care. The role requires clinical expertise and oversight of clinical, financial, and personnel management within the designated areas.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
BSN or MSN required for all new hires. BSN required for internal transfers/promotions within 6 months. Current RN license in state of practice and BLS certification are necessary. Must demonstrate sound clinical care management knowledge, typically through two years of relevant clinical management experience. Requires critical thinking, communication, influence, decision-making, analytical, and flexibility skills. Ability to practice skills according to department and professional standards. In LTC setting: Requires familiarity with Alzheimer's disease and developmental disabilities. Additional requirements for specific facilities.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in nursing preferred. Additional related education and/or experience is a plus.
