Position Summary: This position is in Customer Relations/Business and educates customers in person or by phone of applicable laws, policies, procedures, services and resources. Provides customer with information regarding status of records, tax return or other transactions. Provides guidance on options to correct deficiencies, problems, or errors. Performs account management on accounts involving business entities of federal government, other government agencies, general partnerships, limited liability compensation and limited partnerships. Conducts the processing of returns, remittance, refunds and correspondence. Performs account adjustments, abatements and/or assessments. In addition, incoming phone calls from customers cannot be identified by a specific level. Other items that might fall into the same situation are vouchers, overpaids, and correspondence. Have a minimal amount of training on withholding and income taxes to assist with calls during peak season as needed. Assist each month with reviewing adjustment letters prior to being printed and mailed. This position requires a business casual attire and a customer service orientation. Provides customer education in a professional manner. Ensures that customers' needs are met in a professional manner. Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications: Two years of experience in interviewing, investigating or providing technical assistance to clients, customers, or the public, and two years of experience or education in auditing or accounting support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.

Preferred Experience: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Proofreading, editing, attention to detail.

Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements: KBI and FBI fingerprint required due to access to Federal Tax Information files in KDOR systems.
