About the Opportunity

As the HR Generalist at UT System Administration, you'll be part of a dynamic team responsible for a wide range of HR duties. Working closely with the System Human Resources team, you will handle employee records, training, recruitment, and more, reporting to the executive director of HR administration.

• General HR Responsibilities:
  • Administer HR plans and procedures for UTSA employees
  • Carry out special projects and research on HR best practices
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to address issues proactively
  • Support systemwide Employee Relations Advisory Board meetings
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for HR processes
• Technology:
  • Assist with HR Helpdesk feature in Oracle
  • Collaborate on website enhancements with Communications and Marketing
  • Provide support on DASH questions related to HR practices
  • Maintain data-sharing tools and spreadsheets
• Recruiting and Onboarding
  • Participate in recruiting for staff positions
  • Contribute to recruiting campaigns via various channels
  • Assist in onboarding new UTSA employees

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong interpersonal skills, and a detail-oriented mindset are essential. Preferred qualifications include experience in higher education and professional certifications.
