Phlebotomy Specialist

This position is for a skilled phlebotomist whose responsibility is to collect, prepare and transport specimens to the laboratory for analysis in accordance with accreditation standards, federal, state, and local regulations. The individual will provide safe and efficient laboratory services to diverse patient populations. They will perform laboratory support functions such as clerical duties and stock receiving/distribution.

The ideal candidate will have advanced phlebotomy skills in all areas. A minimum level of education equivalent to completion of four years of high school preferred; completion of a program in phlebotomy required. Formal training in medical technology and basic computer skills are also beneficial. Phlebotomy certification is highly desirable.
