    Nurse Specialist – Angio & EP

    Requirements:

    Planning and administering patient care using the Nursing Process, while adhering to all established standards of practice within State and Federal regulations. The EP/Angio-Nurse Specialist should possess strong skills in patient assessment, Pre/Intra/Post care specific to Electrophysiology patients, as well as proficiency in managing patients in the Cardiovascular Suite, including the cath lab and vascular interventional radiology population.

    In instances where the EP/Angio-Nurse Specialist is assigned the charge role, they will be responsible for coordinating the operating schedule and overseeing unit activities.

    Supervise non-RN staff

    Demonstrate unwavering adherence to Hospital policies, including the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program.

    Provide safe and therapeutic care aligned with our hospital's core values.

    Deliver direct patient care to a designated patient group and serve as their advocate.

    Continuously evaluate the physical and psychosocial condition of patients throughout their care journey.

    Formulate and communicate individualized patient care plans that address patient concerns and propose interventions to achieve desired patient outcomes.

    Foster collaboration with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to execute the care plan effectively.

    Qualifications

    To excel in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

    Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

    Hold a valid Registered Nurse license for the state of Connecticut.

    Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is a prerequisite.

    Maintain minimum of 6 contact hours annually.

    Moderate Sedation

    2-3 Years Critical Care Experience (including ER or Cath Lab experience).
