Summary:
The Invasive Radiology nurse provides care to all age groups referred with various systems abnormalities. S/he is expected to practice collaboratively with physicians, nurses and other disciplines.
Under the general supervision of the Radiology nurse supervisor, this person will be responsible for the following:
identifying, facilitating and evaluating outcomes of nursing care for an individual patient or group of patients, utilizing nursing process; coordinating all aspects and providing technical/medical expertise to medical staff for all adult and pediatric diagnostic interventional Radiology procedures performed within their section; documenting relevant patient information in writing on all patients undergoing Radiology procedures.
