    Description

    As part of the Laboratory team, your main responsibility will be to conduct efficient and cost-effective routine and non-routine analytical and physical testing on the products and samples from this site. It's crucial that Laboratory Technicians work safely, independently, and efficiently, always looking for ways to cut costs, enhance quality, and reduce the risk of accidents.

    Your focus will be on ensuring personal safety, the safety of colleagues, promoting a secure work environment, and carrying out all tasks in line with environmental regulations at both federal and state levels.


    Roles & Responsibilities:
    - Foster a respectful work environment for everyone.
    - Conduct routine and non-routine sample analyses.
    - Record, communicate, and store analytical findings.
    - Check quality control standards to validate sample results.
    - Troubleshoot and perform minor maintenance on laboratory instruments.
    - Carry out regular calibrations and maintain related records.
    - Contribute to committees dedicated to investigations, policy development, and workplace enhancement.
    - Mentor other laboratory technicians as necessary.
    - Engage in ongoing performance discussions with supervisors and peers to boost personal and team effectiveness.


    Minimum Qualifications:
    Must hold at least a high school diploma or GED, AND

    Must meet ONE of the following criteria:
    - Possess a Bachelor's degree,
    - Have a minimum of 8 college credit hours in chemistry with relevant lab work,

    OR

    - Have at least 3 years of experience as a lab technician.

    Must be ready and able to:

    - Cover overtime shifts.
    - Attend occasional plant emergencies.
    - Handle hazardous and flammable substances following proper safety protocols, training, and gear.
    - Successfully complete pre-employment assessments, including physical exams, drug screenings, and background checks.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience in testing polymers.
