This position is a 100% on-site role.
A week in the life of a Cybersecurity Engineer:
Liaison with systems developers to assess the impact of Cybersecurity requirements and validate/document the implementation of mandated security controls.
Research and recommend Cybersecurity architectures and procedures, executing vulnerability testing in mixed network environments
Generate and manage Cybersecurity certification and accreditation documentation
Provide Cybersecurity technical support of military tactical/non-tactical, Electronics Support Measures suites and relational database applications.
Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology field or six years of military IT experience.
Secret security clearance required.
DoD Cybersecurity Workforce credentials such as CompTIA Security+/Network+, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and operating systems certification such as CompTIA Linux+ or Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA), etc.
At least 4 years' experience in:
Cybersecurity and/or Information Technology/networks.
Familiarity with information systems vulnerability scanning tools, e.g., DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), Security Readiness Review (SRR) scripts, and implementation.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $66,000 - $85,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
