Summary
The LTC Charles S. Kettles VA Medical Center is seeking a Full-Time Registered Nurse assigned to the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) aligned under Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine Services. The PACU Registered Nurse preps the patient for surgery, ensuring all hospital and JCAHO requirements of patient prep are completed prior to entry into operating room.
Duties
The PACU nurse is proficient in both the preoperative area and the postoperative area. The preop nurse preps the patient for surgery, ensuring all hospital and JCAHO requirements of patient prep are completed prior to entry into operating room. The postoperative nurse provides care of the post-surgical patient ensuring all discharge criteria are met prior to discharge or transfer to another unit. The preoperative and postoperative nurse report to the nurse manager and work under the guidance of the anesthesia team.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
