    Ruth & Norman Rales Jewish Family Services is currently seeking a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for the Toby and Leon Cooperman Therapy and Resource Center. This position will work one on one with clients, executing an Individualized Assessment & Behavior Plan developed by a BCBA in a local school or a center-based environment. This position will implement effective evidence-based ABA interventions and serve as the point of direct intervention to the client and family. This person will also have the ability to participate and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team approach. The RBT will work with children (0-22 yrs.) with a variety of special needs to help children meet their full potential. The RBT will also assist BCBA in implementing social skills groups, reactive behavior groups, and any other group led by the BCBA.

    Qualifications: Must hold an active RBT certification in good standing. Minimum 4 years of experience working with children, adolescents, or young adults with Autism and other related disabilities.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Provide high quality ABA services to children with a variety of special needs and their families. Daily tasks include implementing Applied Behavior Analysis procedures and strategies outlined in the Individualized Assessment and Behavior Plan, running probes, informal assessments, written summary of session, data collection on goals, communicating with BCBA on client progress, participating in collaboration with multidisciplinary team, attending professional trainings, assisting in groups, Must possess the following characteristics: personable, energetic, motivated, creative, and a passion for working with a special needs population in a fun and fast-paced environment.

    Required Education & Experience

    • High School Diploma and RBT Certification
    • Certification as a RBT in good standing
    • Four years of experience working with children across a spectrum of disabilities and special needs
    • Strong communication skills
    • Providing direct ABA therapy
    • Collecting data on goals
    • Personable, motivated, energetic, creative, and dependable
    • Must have a positive attitude, willingness to take direction from BCBA, and ability to accept constructive feedback
    • Excellent rapport with children
    • Knowledge of child development and ABA techniques and procedures
    • Enjoys working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
    • Strong communication skills
    • Maintains professionalism at all times
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Can manage and adjust their own behavior (body language) and emotions (tone, voice level) while addressing the needs of their client.
