- Required 3 years experience as a certified pharmacy technician in a retail/specialty pharmacy setting, or pharmacy benefits manager system.
- Must maintain current registered in the State of Florida as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook. High School Diploma or GED.
- In the absence of a current State of Florida, Board of Pharmacy issued permit as a Registration Pharmacy Technician, a current/active Pharmacy Intern permit, issued by State of Florida, Board of Pharmacy may be substituted.

Description
JOB SUMMARY
Under direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, and following established policies and procedures, assist in the various activities of a pharmacy technician including the following; acting as a subject matter expert for prescription processing, claims adjudication, telephone support, and dispensing of medications and supplies.
Other responsibilities of the senior technician include , assisting coordinators and supervisors with workflow management to ensure prescriptions are moving through the stages in a timely manner, and assist with documentation and maintenance of quality assurance measures.
Responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
