    Description

    Essential Job Functions

    This description is a summary of primary responsibilities and qualifications. The job description is not intended to include all duties or qualifications that may be required now or in the future. The Hotel operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting times, and hours worked in a week.

    • Proper cash handling procedures to include Micros transactions, balancing daily receipts, balance bank, complete all closing reports and deposits
    • Administer all rental contracts which include boat rentals, wave runner rental and boat slip rental
    • Verify the person renting a boat or wave runner has a valid drivers license and is the correct age to rent
    • Verbally explain the content of the contract with the guests after it is completed
    • Responsible for booking all boat and boat slip reservations
    • Responsible for expediting rental contracts to Marina Attendants
    • Must possess strong hospitality skills while in direct contact with the guest and on the phone
    • Responsible for merchandise, food and beverage sales
    • Must verify the age of guests purchasing alcohol
    • Oversee the office and monitor all merchandise is properly purchased
    • Assist guests with guest calls regarding boat or medical issues
    • Must maintain a clean, safe work environment
    • Attend required meetings
    • Other duties may be assigned

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of the English language to effectively communicate with guests, associates, and vendors
    • Must have basic computer skills and be able to comprehend our systems after trained
    • Able to scrupulously follow all Driftwood and Margaritaville policies and procedures
    • Able to complete projects and assignments thoroughly, professionally, and with care
    • Can adjust to high-pressure conditions and is open to change
    • Assumes responsibility for personal growth and development
    • Conducts him\herself (acts and dresses) professionally at all times
    • Understands and communicates the Driftwood Mission
    • Expresses ideas and conveys information clearly, effectively, and professionally
    • Actively listens to others
    • Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis
    • Works to resolve disagreements and is respectful of peers and co-workers
    • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions
    • Must have a basic knowledge applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations
    • Must have good mathematical and computer skills
    • High school education and relevant training and experience preferred
    • Ability to timely obtain any required licenses or certificates

    Physical Demands

    • Minimum lifting of 20 pounds
    • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity
    • Hearing, writing, typing
    • Minimum pulling of 20 pounds
    • Standing for long periods of time
    • Must be a strong swimmer

    Age Requirements

    Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
