- Collaborating with the Orthopedics team to build robust interdisciplinary services
- Ambulatory clinical service activities to include:
- Inpatient consultation services as requested by team during the post-operative period
- Program development activities including the development of psychosocial screening protocols and other pertinent aspects of care
- Providing consultation to other members of team in clinic settings to inform care plan
- Participation in the psychology training faculty, including training and supervision of practicum students, psychology interns through the Yale Child Study Center's APA-accredited internship, and/or post-doctoral fellows on the pediatric psychology track
- Training pediatric residents in topics related to adjustment to pediatric illness and injury
- Partnership and mentorship with growing Pediatric Psychology Program

Position Description
The Yale Child Study Center's Pediatric Psychology Program, in collaboration with Yale New Haven Children's Hospital, has an opening for a full-time pediatric psychologist to be embedded in the Section of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation.
The pediatric psychologist's primary clinical responsibilities will be as part of the Yale Limb Restoration and Lengthening Program and the Female Athlete Program.
The pediatric psychologist in these clinics will join interdisciplinary teams invested in optimizing the patient experience and improving long term quality of life.
Job Responsibilities:
o Evidence-based acute and chronic pain management interventions
o Post-operative interventions to support adjustment and coping
o Injury adjustment
o Rehabilitation support
o Additional services based on applicant interest
Successful candidates will be appointed as Assistant Professor of Child Clinical Psychology (Pediatric Psychology Program) on the Academic Clinician track.
While not required on the Academic Clinician track, research and quality improvement studies are available and encouraged as part of a collaborative team.
