JOB OVERVIEW
As a Sr. Manager IT – Supply Chain Business Systems within STAAR Surgical's Information Technology team, this individual plays a critical role working closely with the business and across the Information Technology organization defining, delivering and supporting IT Supply Chain business solutions and supporting roadmaps. In summary this position:
• Provides cost effective business systems and applications analysis in support of the development and implementation of business applications.
• Includes evaluation, analysis, documentation of requirements, translation into proper system requirement specifications and configuration.
• Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both end-user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems, applications and industry requirements.
• Operates as a liaison between technical personnel and the appropriate end-user departments.
• Evaluates and translates end user needs and problems to technical associates and/or vendors where appropriate.
• Understands the business implications of technical solutions and assists in defining and documenting the technology solutions to support any future business needs.
• Instructs end users new technology and enhancements using all appropriate communication tools as well as providing support for existing system.
• Monitors and maintains applications and restores services for end users.
• Analyzes application problems and coordinates workable solutions.
• Participates in system software upgrades including planning and scheduling, coordination and deploying.
• Ensures availability and performance of systems and application environments through proactive as well as reactive analysis and maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & TRAINING
● Prefer undergraduate degree and 8-10 years relevant experience or Graduate degree and 6-8 years relevant experience.
● APICS Certified Planning and Inventory Mgmt. or Certified Supply Chain Professional highly desired.
EXPERIENCE
Prefer 10+ years of relevant experience.
5+ years working with Oracle Cloud ERP in Supply chain modules
Prior experience within highly regulated, validated medical device manufacturing experience highly desired.
SKILLS
● Expert knowledge of business systems processes within the medical device manufacturing industry, including Order-to-Cash (Order management, fulfillment, and warehouse mgmt. systems), Procure-to-Pay (Direct Procurement, Approved Supplier Qualifications, Receiving and warehouse mgmt. systems) Plan-to-Manufacture (including manufacturing execution systems), Product Lifecycle Management and eQuality Management systems.
● Expert knowledge of Oracle's Cloud ERP Configuration.
● Integrates deep subject matter expertise with:??
o In-depth knowledge of professional standards and trends within area of expertise.
o Ability to set up business goals and strategy.
● Understands impact of emerging business trends and their implications for STAAR Surgical and its customers.
● Excellent mentoring skills for developing subordinate staff.
● Expert knowledge of and ability to put into practice commonly used SDLC methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.).
