    RPC Company has partnered with a client in search of an Accounting Controller in Dallas, TX.

    As the Controller of our small to mid-sized company family-owned company, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of the organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting and finance, as well as payroll functions. Your primary objective will be to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient payroll processing.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Analyze financial data to provide insights into the company's performance and trends.
    • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with senior management to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis.
    • Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and month-end close processes. Ensure adherence to accounting principles and internal controls.
    • Payroll Management: Manage payroll processing, including accurate calculation of wages, taxes, and deductions. Stay updated on payroll regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
    • Compliance and Risk Management: Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, such as GAAP, tax laws, and labor regulations. Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
    • Financial Planning and Analysis: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. Conduct financial analysis on various initiatives, investments, and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Provide guidance and professional development opportunities to team members.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
    • Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in a small to mid-sized company.
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and payroll regulations.
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
    • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
