    Overview

    TheLicensing Managersupportsthe management, assists with license renewals, works on acquisitions, special projects and other more complicated projects, supervises Licensing Coordinators, and performs occasional duties assigned by the management.

    Responsibilities

    • Process certain more complicated license renewals assigned by Director of Licensing.
    • Support Senior Licensing Coordinator and assist with the overall Company's licenses renewal process.
    • Follow up on missing and expired permits by calling jurisdictions to research, resolve, and obtain new permits, if required.
    • Supervise Licensing Coordinators.
    • Research notices of deficiencies on permits due to failed inspections or missing information.
    • Research changes in laws and new licensing requirements.
    • Work with and follow up with other licensing team members and other company departments (such as fuel, tax, and facilities) regarding complicated renewals and new licenses requiring supporting documentation including sales information, facilities related details, etc.
    • Assist with maintaining licensing database (cloud-based).
    • Work on acquisitions and new store openings, including completing application forms and conducting research (online and by calling jurisdictions).
    • Work on special projects such as mergers, etc.
    • Request checks and code license renewals and new licenses correctly for proper processing by accounts payable.
    • Assist with mail as requested by Director of Licensing.
    • Update jurisdictions on changes in designated managers and employees when required by law.
    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED from accredited school; bachelor's degree preferred.
    • 5 years' experience in an environment dealing with legal matters, governmental agencies, or courts.
    • 2 years' experience in licensing or closely related area.
    • Ability to communicate effectively over the phone and via e-mail.
    • Ability to change direction rapidly when priorities or deadlines shift.
    • Proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel.
    • Ability to work with a large volume of documents under critical deadlines.
