    Shaw Systems is an industry-leading Fintech software company with an established record of solid financial performance and an excellent reputation for producing high value solutions for the consumer and commercial lending industry. We are currently seeking to attract a consumer automobile leasing leader to join our team as the Product Owner for our Leasing product offering.

    Role Overview:

    The Leasing Business Analyst (BA) is a crucial member of our product development team. As a bridge between stakeholders, development teams, and end-users, the BA will leverage their Consumer Automobile Lease Servicing expertise to contribute to the overall Leasing product vision and requirements in collaboration with the VP of Product Strategy and other stakeholders. The BA is responsible for working with business leaders and product developers to translate business needs to software requirements to advance the Leasing product vision into actionable software requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Leasing Business Expertise
    • Provide the voice of the business by leveraging expertise of the business processes and requirements for operating consumer lease portfolios including but not limited to:
    • Lease Accounting & Servicing
    • Sales Tax, Repossesions, Charge Off, and Payoffs
    • Lease Termination
    • Post Lease Asset Handling
    • Execute with a user centric approach to software vision and requirements
    • Advocate for the end-users throughout the software development process
    • Understand user personas, pain points, and desired outcomes
    • Validate assumptions through user testing and feedback loops

    2. Product Vision and Strategy:

    • Contribute to the product vision, goals, and long-term strategy in collaboration with stakeholders, peers, and the VP of Product Strategy
    • Champion and evangelize the product vision and goals with stakeholders and development teams
    • Understand market trends, user needs, and competitive landscape to shape the product roadmap

    3. Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Engage with stakeholders (internal and external) to gather requirements, feedback, and insights
    • Facilitate workshops, user interviews, and feedback sessions
    • Balance competing interests and manage expectations

    4. Authoring Requirements:

    • Craft actionable business requirements to meet the full Lease Servicing life cycle
    • Collaborate with development teams break down requirements into detailed user stories with acceptance criteria

    5. Communication and Transparency:

    • Clearly communicate product requirements, priorities, and changes to the team
    • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders

    6. People and Cross Functional Team Leadership:

    • Contribute to recruiting business systems analysts and other relevant roles
    • Possibility of Directly managing, professionally develop, and retain a team of business systems analysts
    • Cultivate a culture for the free exchange of ideas and a customer centric approach to software development and support

    7. Continuous Improvement:

    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
    • Seek feedback, analyze metrics, and iterate on processes.
    • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in full consumer automobile lease servicing life cycle
    • 5+ years of experience with working with industry leading Leasing software systems
    • Proven record of accomplishment for presenting concepts and ideas to a cross functional group of stakeholders ranging from software users to the C-suite
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Business, Mathematics).
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to prioritize effectively

    Preferred but not Required:

    • Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
    • SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager Certification
    • 3+ years of experience managing business analysts
    • Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., Jira)
    • Basic SQL knowledge and expertise
