Under the general direction of the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer (CFAO) and Director of Budget and Operations for Student Affairs, this position is responsible for taking a lead role in providing executive level support of complex fiscal, budgetary, analytical, including contract and grants agency reporting for multiple departments.
The analyst independently performs moderate to complex budgetary/financial analysis and reporting such as multi-year planning, rate sustainability and feasibility, advises on cost containment measures, performs reconciliations and develops/prepares reports on overall resource management.
This includes research, monitoring trend and deficit analysis, tracking, generating monthly (inc.ad-hoc) executive level summaries, and reporting to various constituents (e.g., UCOP, department heads, organization head, and the campus budget office) of multiple core and non-core funding streams.
This position is also responsible for managing and reviewing annual costing reports which includes funding for range adjustments and merits & promotions.
Works in collaboration with and provides backup assistance to the Student Affairs finance team.Assists in preparing PowerPoint presentations and training material for the Student Affairs as well as acts as a resource for policy and process guidance to the Student Affairs departments.

The salary range for the Senior Financial Analyst is $87,300 - $163,300 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is up to $106,300 annually. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position.
