    Job Summary


    This position will be responsible for verification of compliance of first article and in process components as through CMM measurement using standard work instructions.

    This position will assist the Manufacturing Technicians to identify problems, troubleshoot and develop programs, update standard work and communicate as required.

    Responsibilities

    Partners with Operators, Buyers, and Engineers to drive dimensional challenges to resolution
    Uses 5S to improve cleanliness, reducing takt time and increasing consistent outcomes
    Seek ways to define and resolve Red Dots such as earlier notification when program changes are needed
    Utilizes and maintains SW and SPIs to collaborate and create consistency.
    Perform 1st article & in-process inspections of manufacturing processes from the shop, inform operators of necessary adjustments using CMM and other approved inspection gauging
    Program C.M.M. for part inspections & data collection. Maintain C.M.M. program files to current print specifications
    Perform inspections of incoming purchased products using C.M.M. and other approved inspection gauging. Complete miscellaneous inspections as they arise
    Maintain data documentation records based on retention requirements & maintain gage calibration system and files
    Accurate and timely completions of DMT (defective material tags). Maintain inspection files, database system and DMT tracking
    Provides quality training as assigned. Demonstrates excellence in completion of all other duties as assigned

    Basic Qualifications
    High School Diploma or equivalent
    2 yrs experience inspecting machined parts & 2 years current experience blueprint reading and metrology
    Prior experience running C.M.M. required – programming C.M.M. required
    Prior experience using precision inspection tools/measuring equipment and familiarity with calibration requirements
    Proficient computer skills with Solidworks and Microsoft Office required

    Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
    Ability to lift 40 lbs repetitive
    Ability to stand for long periods of time
    Regular use of wrists, hands and/or fingers.
    Close visual acuity to create/read schematics, drawings and/or a computer screen.
    The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high
    Work environment is on the manufacturing floor – temperatures vary substantially

    Key Competencies
    3+ years experience in manufacturing
    Comprehension of Quality systems.
    Comprehension of Multi-BOM structures.
    Self- directed, flexible with a positive attitude
    Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams
    Possess good verbal and written communication skills
