    Description

    Job Title:

    General Manager

    Overview:

    Konnect General Stores is seeking a self-sufficient and detail-oriented General Manager to lead our quick-service restaurant operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Customer Experience: Greet and interact with customers to ensure a positive, enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
    • Sales Forecasting: Oversee sales forecasting, controllable profits, and adjust based on changing business conditions.
    • Product Quality and Cleanliness: Ensure product quality and maintain cleanliness in both the restaurant and team environment.
    • Team Management: Manage the recruitment, training, and development of restaurant personnel to build a strong and efficient team.
    • Sales Performance: Drive and maintain acceptable sales levels, continuously seeking ways to improve performance.
    • Cash Control: Handle restaurant cash control, including making bank deposits and maintaining an accurate change fund.
    • Inventory Management: Track and report inventory using established systems; ensure proper stock levels by ordering, receiving, and accounting for dry goods, perishables, and equipment.
    • Facility Maintenance: Utilize a preventive maintenance system to ensure all facility and equipment repairs are addressed promptly.
    • Staffing and Scheduling: Ensure sufficient staffing levels by creating efficient schedules to meet operational needs.
    • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit daily, weekly, period-end, and special reports as required.

    Requirements:

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Education: High school diploma or GED required, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a managerial or supervisory role within the food service industry; experience in fast food or quick-service restaurants (QSR) preferred.
    • Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership and team management abilities.
    • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Problem-Solving and Organizational Skills: Ability to handle stressful situations and problem-solving effectively. Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Financial Management: Basic understanding of financial management, including budgeting, cost control, and reporting.
    • Food Safety Regulations: Knowledge of food safety regulations and health codes.

    Working Conditions:

    Work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required to maintain adequate staffing levels. Must be available to work as needed or on short notice.

    • Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
    • Must have reliable transportation to and from the restaurant.
    • Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and other computer programs is preferred.
