Summary This position is located at Fort Indiantown Gap MWR Food and Beverage Department.

Responsibilities Performs a variety of routine manual tasks in a kitchen or dining area following established procedures. Prepares food by sorting, washing, peeling, and cutting fresh fruit and vegetables. Clean kitchen equipment such as worktables, sinks and refrigerators. Separates food waste and trash from dishes, glasses, and silverware. Loads and operate dishwashers. Stores cleaned dishes, glasses and silverware.

Sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments, and cold menu items such as salads, desserts, bread, and cold beverages on a serving line or tables.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Ability to understand and follow oral instructions and do simple tasks that are easy to learn.

Skill and Knowledge:
Must have knowledge of basic food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures.

Must have the ability to perform routine manual tasks involving few steps and be able to read and understand written material.

Must have knowledge of basic arithmetic such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals. The experience listed above must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.

PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.

FWS Allowances and Differentials This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.

All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.

Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
