    JOB SUMMARY:

    To promote the mission of PATH to help individuals achieve a more independent and fulfilling life by ensuring the provision of excellent psychiatric services for individuals who receive PATH services and providing consultation for staff regarding the provision of clinical services.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • MD or DO, with specialty in psychiatry.
    • At least five years of experience, including supervisory, in the provision of psychiatric treatment.
    • PA Medical License
    • Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and DEA number
    • COVID-19 vaccination, or willingness to receive vaccine required
    • Active and valid driver's license required

    SPECIFIC DUTIES:

    • Provide overall supervision and support to the Medical Department ensuring optional performance.
    • Maintain and enforce compliance with DPW's 55 PA Code Chapter 5200: Psychiatric Outpatient Clinics, Philadelphia DBH requirements and other regulatory licensing entities.
    • Oversee admission, assignment and discharge of individuals from the Medical Department.
    • Develop SOPs and maintain an approved up to date SOP manual for the Medical Department.
    • Develop collaborative relationships with a variety of health care providers including hospitals, PCPs and District Health Centers and pharmacies.
