    The Diagnostic Imaging MA-C functions as the Breast Health Coordinator, and is accountable for the coordination and implementation of clinical pathways and the continuum of breast care provided to patients in radiology.

    Duties include assisting the provider and health care team in providing excellent customer service and quality patient care by performing a variety of clerical and patient-related tasksAssists in other sections of the department as needed.



    Position Reports To :
    Radiology Manager.
    Coordinates with referring providers within the Confluence Health system and outside Confluence Health to facilitate education, support, and appointments as needed in regards to breast imaging
    # Assists with scheduling and performing breast procedures within Confluence Health.
    # Reviews procedures as needed and follows up with patients and providers on necessary lab tests or preparations for all radiology examinations. This includes pathology and follow up after procedures.
    # Understands and follows all universal precautions and personal protective equipment requirements.
    # Attend department meetings and participate in all annual required training and in-service training.
    # Complies with all continuing education requirements as dictated by regulatory entities.
    # Demonstrate Standards of Behavior and adhere to the Code of Conduct in all aspects of job performance at all times.
    Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 is an essential requirement of working at Confluence Health. Religious and medical exemptions will be considered upon request.
    High school graduate or GED
    Accredited Medical Assisting program graduate, or enrolled in externship program.

    Active Medical Assistant Interim (IC) or Medical Assistant - Certified (CM) license through the Washington State Department of Health.

    Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory care setting.
    Basic computer skills.
    O = Occasional, represents 1 to 25% or up to 30 minutes in a 2 hour workday.
    F = Frequent, represents 26 to 50% or up to 1 hour of a 2 hour workday.
    C = Continuous, represents 51% to 100% or up to 2 hours of a 2 hour workday.

    This position also provides medical assistance to all the radiology services and includes but is not limited to review, documentation and scheduling for procedures.
