- Prepare ingredients before cooking through processes like thawing, breading, or cutting as needed.
- Follow portion sizes, quality standards, and department policies diligently.
- Choose and prepare cuts of meat, poultry, seafood, and vegetables as required for each dish.
- Carve meat, fish, and poultry precisely according to specifications.
- Create garnishes to enhance the presentation of dishes.
- Plate dishes accurately following the designated guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace to ensure food safety.
- Utilize knives, tools, and equipment proficiently to prepare and cook food items effectively.
- Assist in preparing daily kitchen items as required.
- Ensure the kitchen areas are organized and clean at all times.
- Properly rotate food products to prevent wastage.
- Coordinate with the Supervisor at the end of the shift to discuss the upcoming shift's requirements.
- Handle restocking of the line and other essential tasks at the end of the shift to prepare for the next one.
